A reception will follow the Sunday evening service. On September 10 at 2pm we have the privilege of connecting with some of the men at New Destiny Treatment Center and learning about their stories. We will take a tour of the newly expanded facility and learn how we can partner with them in reaching into the community and showing the love of Christ. We are asking that anyone planning on joining us think about a time when unexpected kindness was shown to you and PAY IT FORWARD! (John 13:14-15) Whether that is bringing a gift, a card or just telling your story these men will be blessed.

This year we have the privilege of continuing to adopt the incoming Kindergarten class at Sam Salem Community Learning Center by providing the 75 kindergartners with backpacks filled with everything they will need for school. We would like to invite you to join us in blessing these children by signing out as many backpacks as you want, stuffing them with the needed supplies (list is on each bag), including a handwritten note of encouragement and returning them back to the church by August 20, 2017. Backpacks will be available to sign out every Sunday after the 10:45am worship service. Joan Shaw would love to answer any questions you might have before or after the morning service.

Senior Adults Ministry (SAM) will be meeting on August 13th at 2pm at Haven of Rest Ministries (175 East Market Street, Akron) to tour the facility. Our goal is to see how we can partner with them in the fight against poverty. If you are 55 or older, please join us and see how God can use you!

If you are 55 or older, you are invited to join us at Rolling Acres Alliance Church (RAAC) on Thursday, July 27 at 5:15pm to carpool to Dusty's Landing (401 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron) for a 1 1/2 hour pontoon boat ride on Portage Lakes. If you wish to meet us there, our departure time is 6pm.
